Robie House Item No. 108Built in 1908 for a Chicago businessman near the University of Chicago, the Robie House is one of Wright's most celebrated Prairie style designs. Its dominant horizontal axis complements the long, narrow city lot on which it was built. Wright designed the house in its entirety, complete with furnishings, light fixtures, rugs and art glass. The building is now open to the public. Model stitched on 14-count Aida cloth. Stitched area: 15 x 3.5 inches. Framed size: 19 x 10 inches. |
